Spread over more than 65,000 hectares of vines, the Rhone Valley vineyard is the second largest French vineyard and covers 6 departments between Vienne and Avignon. It includes the AOC Château-Grillet.

The appellation area of this AOC extends over the territory of two communes of the Loire (Saint-Michel-sur-Rhône and Vérin) on some 4 hectares of soils mainly composed of granite rocks. Viognier vines, subject to the Mediterranean climate and the very good sunshine of this geographical area, are planted in this appellation and allow the production of highly appreciated and rare white wines. Produced by a single and unique estate in France, the wines of this appellation are fine, aromatic and round in the mouth, and can be drunk young or kept for up to 10 years before being tasted.
