3 ORIGINAL WINE IDEAS

3 Innovative Wine Ideas That Will Change How You Experience Wine
1) A Bottle of Wine for Space Travel
Drinking wine in space is no easy feat! In microgravity, liquids form spheres and don’t flow as they do on Earth. Currently, astronauts drink from small pouches with straws, which works for water but isn’t ideal for the nuanced rituals of wine tasting.
Designer Octave de Gaulle has tackled this challenge by creating a prototype wine bottle designed for space. His innovative design features a ring shape, which preserves the wine’s aromatic qualities better than traditional straws. While this project is still in the prototype stage, who knows? One day, astronauts might enjoy a fine wine just like they do on Earth, thousands of miles away from home!
2) A Pen That Writes with Wine
Imagine writing with wine instead of ink! Although it might seem wasteful, the concept behind this project is to "find a sustainable alternative for everyday objects." American designer Jessica Chan launched the Winkpen, a unique pen that features a reversible nib that can be dipped in any colored liquid. Whether it's wine, tea, fruit juice, or coffee, you can use this pen to write in style and sustainability.
3) An Interchangeable Connected Wine Bottle Sleeve
An open bottle of wine doesn’t stay fresh for long. Once the cork is removed, the wine starts to oxidize, which can be a problem during an evening with few guests or when there's disagreement over the wine selection. Enter the Kuvée, a high-tech wine bottle sleeve designed to keep your wine fresh.
Created by the American company Kuvée, this sleek black device can accommodate various bottle sizes and is claimed to preserve wine for up to 30 days. However, it’s worth noting that, as of now, Kuvée only partners with American producers, so this cutting-edge bottle sleeve isn’t available in France yet.
