OUR RECIPE IDEAS AND WINE PAIRINGS FOR EASTER DINNER

When is it More Important to Celebrate with Family or Loved Ones: Together in the Same Quarantine or at a Distance?
Wine and Food Pairings for Your Easter Starter
For a good start, we recommend taking advantage of the freshness of seasonal vegetables, with asparagus leading the way. It pairs easily with the other star of the moment: the egg (but not yet in chocolate form).
To impress with a quick recipe, try pairing a delicious asparagus and parmesan egg cocotte with a light, airy Burgundy white, such as an Aligoté or a Chablis.
If you want to spend more time in the kitchen, show off your chef skills with a green asparagus, mascarpone, and pecorino cheesecake paired with a rounder, more powerful wine. We suggest looking at Alsace Pinot Gris, which is particularly well-suited.
And to finish: our favorite combo, asparagus with radish and walnut remoulade and their green spring flavors fondant. They find their ideal aromatic partner in Alsace dry Muscats. A true gustatory symbiosis.

Wine and Food Pairings for Your Easter Main Course
At Easter, Catholics celebrate the resurrection of Christ, a symbol of renewed faith. It is an event centered around regained innocence, symbolized by the lamb. According to tradition, the Easter dish is usually made with lamb.
Typically, this involves a leg of lamb accompanied by its coat of new potatoes and garlic. Keep with tradition by pairing it with a red wine from the Bordeaux Médoc region.
For a touch of sunshine, consider adding delicious confit lemons. This more pronounced flavor will find a perfect match in the aromatic power of Languedoc-Roussillon red wines.
Lastly, we suggest an Easter pie with spinach, ricotta, parmesan, and eggs. This vegetarian main course is ideal for white wine lovers. Côtes de Gascogne or a good Viognier will be a safe choice.
Order directly from producers:
- Médoc reds from our Bordeaux producers
- Red wines from our Languedoc-Roussillon producers
- White wines from our Côtes de Gascogne producers
- Viognier from our Easter selection
Dessert: Which Wines to Pair with Your Easter Chocolates?
The highlight is, of course, the Easter chocolate. In terms of wine pairings, it all depends on the type of chocolate and its roasting. Chocolates high in cocoa perfectly match the aromas of passerillé reds or sweet natural wines with their sweet and alcoholic flavors.
The bitterness of cocoa also combines pleasantly, especially for chocolate cakes, with sweet white wines like Gewurztraminer or Sauternes.
And finally, if you prefer milk chocolate, you have two options: Champagne, to accompany the Easter dessert festively, or a dry, fruity white wine such as Pinot Blanc, Viognier, or even Burgundy Aligoté. Discover these in our Easter selection bottles.
Order directly from producers:
- Alsace Gewurztraminer from our Alsace producers
- Sauternes from our Bordeaux producers
- Sparkling Champagnes from our Champagne producers
