Portraits of winemakers
LE DOMAINE DU BEAUREGARD

Domaine du Beauregard
It is this heritage that the current generation contemplates every day, whether in the vineyard or the winery, as they craft their wines with a balance of respect for tradition and a drive for development. The 16-hectare vineyard has flourished in the heart of the Côtes du Couchois since 1810, nestled between the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise. Located on soils characterized by multicolored clays, sandstone, and clay-limestone beds, the estate produces a rich array of cuvées across 10 Burgundian appellations.
Burgundy Wines from Domaine du Beauregard
The estate's parcels are located in the communes of Saint Sernin du Plain. At the helm of this rising Burgundy estate, known and frequently awarded, are Jérôme and Stéphanie—proud representatives of the family lineage. With humility, Jérôme manages this family heritage, aware of the work of past generations and his responsibility for future ones. His ambition is to produce wines that reflect the estate’s character, becoming ever more expressive and enjoyable for his clients.
At the estate, he works with Burgundy's three noble grape varieties:
- For red wines: Pinot Noir, used in the appellations Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune, Bourgogne Côtes du Couchois, Maranges, and Maranges 1er Cru.
- For white wines: Aligoté and Chardonnay, used in the appellations Bourgogne Chardonnay and Bourgogne Aligoté.
The Philosophy of Domaine du Beauregard
In the vineyard, Domaine du Beauregard practices reasoned viticulture, favoring plowing, inter-row cultivation, natural cover crops, and organic amendments to maintain soil fertility and nourish the vines to produce quality grapes. The estate is also heavily inspired by Biodynamics, respecting the lunar influences on vineyard work as much as possible.
In the winery, Stéphanie and Jérôme emphasize showcasing the terroir and vintage through the specific characteristics of each appellation. Additives are minimized, and lunar influences are considered to time the racking and bottling processes appropriately.
Close to their vines and nature, Stéphanie and Jérôme craft Burgundy red wines with rich aromatic intensity, finesse, and balanced structure, as well as Burgundy white wines with a beautiful bouquet, elegance, and sought-after minerality.
