What is Natural Wine?
Natural wine is distinguished by its minimal intervention winemaking process, which limits or even bans the use of sulfites. Winemakers who produce natural wine use grapes from organic or biodynamic farming, grown without pesticides or chemical treatments. Fermentation occurs spontaneously, thanks to the indigenous yeasts naturally present on the grape skins, and without added oenological inputs. The goal is to allow the grapes to fully express their terroir, with minimal intervention from the winemaker.
Sulfite-Free Wines
Sulfite-free wines are also highly valued by wine lovers who are mindful of product purity. Sulfur, often used as a preservative in wine, is absent in the winemaking process for sulfite-free wines.
