In the south-east of France, the very sunny vineyard of Provence extends over approximately 200km between the Mediterranean and the Alps, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, the Var and the Alpes Maritimes. It includes the AOC Cassis.

The appellation area of this AOC extends over the territory of the town of Cassis (Bouches-du-Rhône) on 210 hectares of limestone, clay and marl hillsides. Cinsault, Carignan, Clairette, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Marsanne vines are subject to the Mediterranean climate that is both very sunny and tempered by the mistral of this geographical area, and allow the production of white, rosé and red wines. These wines are known for their rich aromatic bouquet dominated by floral (hyacinth) and vegetal (thyme, laurel) notes and by citrus fruits for the whites.
