Spread over more than 65,000 hectares of vines, the Rhone Valley vineyard is the second largest French vineyard and covers 6 departments between Vienne and Avignon. It includes the Pierrevert AOC.

The appellation area of this AOC extends over both banks of the Durance on the territory of 11 communes of Vaucluse, Bouches-du-Rhône and Var on some 420 hectares of soils mainly composed of alluvium and pebbles. Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Syrah and Ugni Blanc vines, among others, subject to the dry Mediterranean climate of this geographical area, are planted in this appellation and produce white, rosé and red wines. The latter are tannic, balanced and aromatic (red fruits, toast, woody). The rosés are just as balanced between acidity and fat. Finally, white wines are slightly acidic and fruity (citrus fruits).
