History and Terroir of Domaine Grand-Chemin
Located just a few kilometers from Uzès and Anduze, near the Cévennes and Pont du Gard, Jean Marc and Emmanuel Floutier, independent winemakers, cultivate 80 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soils. For over 300 years, the Floutier family has crafted varietal wines and blends in IGP Pays d’Oc, Cévennes, and AOP Duché d’Uzès, drawing on the richness of this unique and historic terroir.
Sustainable Commitment to Responsible Viticulture
The Domaine Grand-Chemin, located in the municipalities of Savignargues and Aigremont, grows thirteen grape varieties, including Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Committed to sustainable agriculture, the estate has been certified ISO 14001 since 2012 and HVE Level 3 since 2019. The Planet Émeraude brand reflects the estate’s values: reducing herbicides, planting cover crops, modernizing equipment, and optimizing waste management to ensure environmentally friendly and biodiversity-conscious production.
