Located at the base of the Falaise de Roquetaillade, in the Limoux terroir, the Domaine de L’Aigle benefits from a cool climate that contributes to the distinctive character of its wines. The estate was created with the vision of cultivating uncommon grape varieties in this region, such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which are more commonly found in northern wine regions.
Acquired by Gérard Bertrand in 2007, the estate has since developed its full potential. Situated at high altitude in the Haute Vallée de l’Aude, it is one of the highest vineyards in the region, which ensures its fresh climate. This cool climate produces wines that are aromatic, fresh, balanced, with beautiful tannins and a refreshing acidity.
Certified Demeter since the 2018 vintage, the estate practices biodynamic farming, ensuring a deep respect for the environment and the purity of the wine.
