LES VIGNERONS DE TUTIAC: BORDEAUX TRADITION AND FRATERNAL SPIRIT

A Cooperation of 700 Vintners
The vintners of Tutiac embody a spirit of fraternity and cooperation among 700 winegrowing families from the Bordeaux region. This cooperation, which has lasted for over 40 years, continues to highlight the work of the local vintners and the identity of the Bordeaux terroir.
The collective takes its name from the Tutiac hill, where a chapel surrounded by century-old vines is located. Established in 1974, this cooperation is the result of encounters and collective energies. As early as 1988, the collective built its own winery near the chapel. Every year, new vintners join the collective, enriching it with their wines and stories.
An Extensive and Varied Terroir
The vintners of Tutiac honor the Bordeaux region. Their vineyards are located on both sides of the Gironde, across the best appellations in the region. From Blaye to Sauternes, including Bourg, Fronsac, Médoc, and Graves, the vintners of Tutiac offer the best that the Bordeaux vineyard has to offer.
The Tutiac vintners have managed to unite their terroirs while respecting each one’s diversity, to provide an eclectic choice for consumers and to best represent the variety of Bordeaux terroirs. Indeed, they stretch along both the right and left banks of the estuary over very different appellations. Since 2003, the collective has been precisely mapping all Tutiac plots to understand their exposure, soil, and subsoil. This work allows the vintners to better manage their vines and offer wines that are ever more representative of their terroir.
Tutiac: Great Bordeaux Wines
The vintners of Tutiac cultivate their vines in numerous Bordeaux appellations. It is, in fact, the largest French producer of AOC wines. With 8 production sites and 300,000 hectoliters of wine produced annually, Tutiac offers around fifty cuvées in red, white, and rosé, some of which are certified Organic Farming.
The collective offers wines from 15 Bordeaux appellations across the terroirs of Blaye, Bourg, Graves, Fronsac, Médoc, and Sauternes. The vintners of Tutiac aim to provide wines for every occasion, from the fruitiest to the most powerful, while remaining accessible to consumers. Enjoyable cuvées, sometimes surprising, with a few gems, including 6 crus bourgeois.
