Portraits of winemakers
DOMAINE LES NOYERS

Domaine Les Noyers: A Legacy of Tradition and Passion
Since 1862, Domaine Les Noyers, nestled in Montbrun des Corbières in Occitanie, has been a living symbol of tradition, commitment, and passion for wine. At the heart of this rich history is the Galy family, who have preserved and enhanced the region's viticultural heritage across generations.
When mentioning Domaine Les Noyers, several vivid images come to mind: the family united around the vineyards, the conviviality of harvests, the pride of a bottle stamped with their name, and of course, the stunning sunsets over a Mediterranean landscape filled with vines and garrigue. This picturesque tableau, warm atmosphere, and deep-rooted traditions define this estate.
The Galy Family’s Legacy
Over the years, the Galy family has skillfully developed and celebrated the terroir of Montbrun des Corbières. In 1971, their father was among the first to bottle their production, earning silver and gold medals at the Concours Général Agricole in 1974 and 1975. Today, Benjamin, Marie, and Olivier, representing the 5th generation, proudly carry the family torch by offering cuvées enhanced by the region's iconic grape varieties: Grenache, Cinsault, and Carignan.
The Passion for Wine
Domaine Les Noyers is defined by four key words: Passion, sharing, resilience, and nature. The Galy family firmly believes that "for wine to be good, it must be loved from the vine to the bottle." This adage, inherited from their father Bernard, is reflected in their meticulous approach to winemaking.
It also expresses a true love affair with wine, one that has been a part of their lives since childhood, marked by harvests and the scents of the cellar. The pleasures of the table, where typical regional dishes were prepared over a wood fire by their mother running a winemaker's inn, also shaped the winemakers' memories.
The wine produced by Domaine Les Noyers mirrors the varied and complementary personalities of Benjamin, Marie, and Olivier. Artistic, innovative, and globally minded, it embodies Marie's artistic sensitivity, Benjamin's technical innovation, and Olivier's international outlook.
A Vineyard Committed to Environmental Respect
Each bottle from Domaine Les Noyers carries the distinctive ellipse, symbolizing a dynamic production for an ever-evolving wine. This ellipse also reflects the estate's commitment to sustainability: organic conversion, recyclable bottles, cork stoppers, bio wax, recyclable cartons, and a local approach with nearby suppliers.
Aware of current ecological challenges, Benjamin, Marie, and Olivier began transitioning to organic farming in 2023, a process that will take four years. This initiative continues their parents' efforts towards responsible agriculture that respects the soil and vines. In parallel, the estate is preparing to launch a new range based 100% on the Cinsault grape, set to be unveiled in 2024.
Domaine Les Noyers is more than just a vineyard. It is a rich family adventure rooted in passion, tradition, and a deep respect for nature. An invitation to discover and savor authentic wine, the fruit of a precious heritage passed down through generations.
