In the south of France, the very sunny vineyard of Languedoc-Roussillon extends over more than 240,000 hectares from Nîmes to Leucate (Aude), making it one of the largest vineyards in the world. It includes the AOC Vin de Frontignan.

In the commune of Frontignan and its surroundings, the appellation area of this AOC extends over some 810 hectares of mainly clay-limestone soils. Muscat à petits grains vines, subject to the Mediterranean climate of this geographical area, are planted in this appellation and allow the production of natural sweet wines and liqueur wines. The wines of this appellation are known for their great diversity and reflect the characteristics of the terroir on which they were produced but also of the grape varieties used in their production.
