In the center-east of France, Burgundy is one of the oldest French wine regions, known for its very great vintages. It includes in particular the AOC Musigny.

The appellation area of this AOC extends in the Côte de Nuits on a little more than 10 hectares of south-facing hillsides mainly composed of rock and limestone. Pinot Noir vines are planted on this appellation, which produces red wines classified as Grand Cru. These wines are both strong and fine, they express a rich and complex aromatic bouquet and have very good aging potential (between 10 and 50 years depending on the vintage). There is only one estate, the Comte Georges de Vogüé estate, which produces white wines in this AOC, a wine that expresses notes of violet and can be kept for up to 20 years.
