As its name suggests, this vineyard is located in the South-West of France, between the Massif Central and the Pyrenees, and extends over 11 departments (Aveyron, Dordogne, Gers, Haute-Garonne, Hautes-Pyrénées, Lot, Lot-et-Garonne, Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Landes). It is home to the AOC Montravel.

The appellation area of ​​this AOC extends over the territory of 14 communes on the right bank of the Dordogne on a little over 3,000 hectares of soils mainly composed of clay, limestone, sand, alluvium and gravel. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscadelle, Sauvignon and Sémillon vines, among others, subject to the oceanic climate of this geographical area, are planted in this appellation and allow the production of dry white wines and red wines. This rich, powerful and long-lasting wine has good aging potential (2 to 10 years on average), and presents a bouquet marked by ripe fruits and vanilla. The white is round, aromatic and has a good structure and a beautiful roundness in the mouth.
