In the departments of Savoie and Jura, on the border with Switzerland, there is a small, little-known vineyard, that of Savoie-Bugey. It includes the AOC Crépy.

The appellation area of this AOC extends over the territory of the communes of Douvaine, Loisin and Ballaison to the south of Lake Geneva on some 80 hectares of soils mainly composed of clayey moraines. Exclusively Chasselas vines, subject to the humidity of the lake but also to a good exposure (West) in this geographical area, are planted in this appellation and allow the production of dry white wines with good ageing potential (10 years and more). These wines with marked notes of fruit, white flowers (hawthorn) and almond are pleasant and supple.
