AOC Côtes de Montravel

As its name suggests, this vineyard is located in the South-West of France, between the Massif Central and the Pyrenees, and extends over 11 departments (Aveyron, Dordogne, Gers, Haute-Garonne, Hautes-Pyrénées, Lot, Lot-et-Garonne, Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Landes). It includes the AOC Côtes de Montravel.

The appellation area of ​​this AOC extends over the territory of 9 communes on the right bank of the Dordogne on some 50 hectares of mainly limestone soils. Muscadelle, Sauvignon and Sémillon vines, among others, subject to the oceanic climate of this geographical area, are planted in this appellation and produce sweet white wines. Smooth and sweet, these wines are lively and reveal notes of apricot, peach and acacia.
