AOC Coteaux du Lyonnais

The Beaujolais vineyard is located in the Centre-East of France. Celebrated for the famous Beaujolais Nouveau, this region located between the Mâconnais and the Rhône Valley is home to many other vintages, such as the AOC Coteaux du Lyonnais.At the meeting point of the Beaujolais vineyard and that of the Rhône Valley, the AOC Coteaux du Lyonnais appellation area extends over the territories of 49 communes of the Rhône. A large majority of the wines of this appellation are reds, around 75%, and the remaining 25% are divided between whites and rosés. They are produced mainly from Gamay and give fruity and supple wines.
