In the center-east of France, Burgundy is one of the oldest French wine regions, known for its very great vintages. It includes the AOC Chambolle-Musigny.

Its appellation area extends over the Côte de Nuits wine-growing territory over 180 hectares. The Pinot Noir vines are planted on predominantly limestone soils. The AOC Chambolle-Musigny produces fine and complex red wines, with aromas of red fruits and flowers (violet). These are wines that keep well, which can be kept for between 3 and 15 years, or more for certain vintages.
