In the northwest of France, the Loire vineyard extends from the Massif Central to Nantes over some 70,000 hectares of vines. It is known for the Chinon, Bourgueil and Pouilly-Fumé appellations, among others. The Cabernet de Saumur AOC is also found there.

The appellation area of this AOC extends into the Anjou vineyard over some 90 hectares of mainly chalky and schist soils. Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon vines, subject to the temperate climate and oceanic influences of this geographical area, are planted in this appellation and produce dry and semi-dry rosé wines that can be kept for between 1 and 2 years and up to 5 years for certain vintages. These intense and powerful wines are characterized by their aromatic complexity (fig, apricot, pear, plum, hawthorn, acacia, honey, etc.). These wines are balanced, round in the mouth, fresh and express notes of red fruits.
