AOC Buzet

As its name suggests, this vineyard is located in the South-West of France, between the Massif Central and the Pyrenees, and extends over 11 departments (Aveyron, Dordogne, Gers, Haute-Garonne, Hautes-Pyrénées, Lot, Lot-et-Garonne, Tarn, Tarn-et-Garonne, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Landes). It includes the AOC Buzet.

The appellation area of ​​this AOC extends in Lot-et-Garonne over the territory of 27 communes between the Garonne and the Landes forest on some 1,800 hectares of soils mainly composed of gravel, limestone and clay. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Muscadelle, Sauvignon and Sémillon vines, among others, subject to the oceanic climate of this geographical area, are planted in this appellation and produce white, rosé and red wines that are fleshy and tannic in their youth.
