In the center-east of France, Burgundy is one of the oldest French wine regions, known for its very great vintages. It includes in particular the AOC Bourgogne Chitry.

Its appellation area extends to the commune of Chitry, in Yonne, over an area of some 62 hectares. The AOC Bourgogne Chitry produces mainly white wines, but also reds and rosés, respectively made from chardonnay and pinot noir. The presence of clay-limestone soils allows the production of quality white wines, balanced and harmonious (very famous in Auxerrois) and red and rosé wines that are pleasant to drink, fruity and equally balanced.
