In the center-east of France, Burgundy is one of the oldest French wine regions, known for its very great vintages. We find there in particular the AOC Beaune 1er Cru.
Around the city of Beaune extends the AOC Beaune 1er Cru. It extends over approximately 420 hectares of vines and has 42 Premiers Crus which represent 70% of the production of this vineyard. In the wine capital of Burgundy, red wines are produced from Pinot Noir and white wines from Sauvignon. The differences in exposure of the vines allow the character of each terroir to be expressed through the wines it produces: wines that are sometimes intense, sometimes supple and round; rich and mellow for the whites, full-bodied and rich for the reds (often very good for keeping).
