AOC Bâtard Montrachet

In the center-east of France, Burgundy is one of the oldest French wine regions, known for its very great vintages. It includes the AOC Bâtard Montrachet.

South-west of Beaune, in the communes of Puligny and Chassagne, the appellation area of this AOC extends over 115 hectares of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines, planted on clay-limestone soils. They produce good wines for laying down, supple and tannic for the reds and both mellow and acidic for the whites.
