Les Vignobles de Maxime: Biodiversity Preservation and Environmental Commitment

Les Vignobles de Maxime embodies Maxime’s passionate commitment to nature preservation and the quality of his wines. For over 20 years, he has managed three vineyards in Graves (Château Tourteau Chollet) and Saint-Émilion Grand Cru (Châteaux Grand Lartigue and Ferrand Lartigue). His approach is based on viticulture that respects both the terroir and the environment, while focusing on the quality and authenticity of the wines.

A Progressive Commitment to the Environment

Maxime has taken significant steps to promote biodiversity on his properties. Notable initiatives include planting hedgerows, sowing cover crops, and maintaining vineyard cabins. These actions have contributed to enhancing the domain’s biodiversity reservoir, providing a habitat for many species and strengthening the natural balance of the viticultural ecosystems.

Certifications and Organic Conversion

Les Vignobles de Maxime has been Terra Vitis certified since 2005, Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certified since 2012, and Bee Friendly certified in 2019. Additionally, the three châteaux have been transitioning to organic farming since 2021. These certifications highlight the estate's commitment to adopting sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices while producing high-end wines.

The Art of Allowing Time for Wine

Maxime advocates for a return to traditional winemaking methods, including practices such as high vine density, parcel selection, long maceration, and barrel aging. This careful attention to detail ensures that his Bordeaux grand cru wines mature and evolve slowly, revealing their full complexity.

Experience "Les Vignobles de Maxime"

Beyond producing exceptional wines, Les Vignobles de Maxime invites visitors to take the time to savor a glass of wine with family or friends, immersing themselves in the myriad aromas his wines have to offer. It is an experience that combines passion, nature, and conviviality.
