The Masse Family: A Rich Heritage of Winemaking Excellence in Burgundy

The Masse family has been part of Burgundy's winemaking tradition since 1595, continually growing its vineyard and enhancing the quality of its wines. It was Jean-Baptiste Masse who played a pivotal role in expanding the estate after the Second World War. His two sons, Raymond and Roland, followed different paths: Raymond now manages the estate, while Roland became a renowned oenologist.

The winery, aging cellars, and estate have all been modernized over time, ensuring the family’s commitment to quality. Recently, new vineyard plots located on exceptional terroirs have been acquired, further extending the estate. Situated in the heart of Burgundy, between Givry and Mercurey, the Masse family produces outstanding wines from appellations such as Givry, Mercurey, Montagny, Rully, Bourgogne, and Mâconnais.
