The Legacy of the Léger Family and the Vignes Blanches Estate in Burgundy

The origins of the Léger family can be traced back to parchment records from the Commanderie de Beaune “Saint Jean de Jérusalem” Knights of the Hospital, dating around the year 1000. The "Vignes Blanches" estate is nestled in Paris l'Hôpital, a village at the heart of the Burgundy wine region, located between the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. It lies in the Cozanne valley, surrounded by the slopes of Bussy, Marigny, Martroy, and Velez, sheltered from the winds.

The estate is known for producing red wines from various Pinot Noir vines, cultivated across the distinctive terroirs of the Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune. Each year, depending on the unique characteristics of the vintage, the wines are blended before being aged in oak barrels for one year.
