Domaine de Laougué: A Historic Vineyard with Exceptional Terroirs
Domaine de Laougué, also known as Vignoble de Madiran, is one of France's oldest vineyards, famously known to pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, who pass by on the Puy-en-Velay route. The vineyard encompasses several prestigious appellations, including Madiran, where grape varieties such as Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc thrive. It also produces Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, featuring Petit Manseng, with its fruity and floral aromas, Gros Manseng offering liveliness and elegance, and Petit Corbu, which adds roundness.
At Domaine de Laougué, we are committed to cultivating our vines with the utmost respect for the environment while ensuring the highest quality wines. Our practices include sustainable and integrated viticulture, hand-picking, and careful selection. We adopt plot-specific vinification methods, treating each as a Grand Cru, and age our wines in barrels to enhance their complexity.
