Domaine Dischler: A Family Tradition and Natural Viticulture in Alsace
Located in Wolxheim, near Strasbourg, Domaine Dischler is a historic estate that has been in the Dischler family for five generations. Today, the estate spans 9 hectares of vineyards, cultivating the seven iconic Alsace grape varieties: Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Sylvaner, Riesling, and Muscat d’Alsace.
The Domaine Dischler is certified organic (BIO). André and Nathalie Dischler, the current owners, are passionate advocates for environmental preservation and practice natural viticulture with responsible treatments. The estate benefits from diverse terroirs, including the renowned Rothstein (red stones, ancient sandstone quarry from the Vosges), Carrières Royales, Bruderthal in Molsheim, and the Grand Cru Altenberg de Wolxheim, where they produce one of their specialties: Grand Cru Riesling.
Organic Certification and Craftsmanship Passed Down Through Five Generations
This rich diversity of terroirs imparts a unique character to the various grape varieties they cultivate. Since 1850, the Dischler family has passed down their expertise from generation to generation, crafting wines defined by structure, harmony, and elegance.
