A Passionate Career Change to Viticulture

In 2009, Markus Conrad and his wife Annerose took over Domaine de Féraud. Passionate about Provence and winemaking, they decided to change careers and dedicate themselves to crafting exceptional wines. A former trumpet player with a background in economics, Markus previously led businesses in the book and coffee sectors before finding fulfillment in the world of wine. Since their arrival, they have transformed this 50-hectare estate into a place where tradition, innovation, and passion intersect.

Domaine de Féraud benefits from an outstanding terroir, with cool nights, optimal sunshine, and the presence of the Mistral wind, which ensures the health of the vines. These conditions allow for the production of wines that are both generous in character and elegant in style.

From the outset, Markus Conrad chose to farm organically, excluding the use of synthetic pesticides. The estate uses natural treatments such as sulfur and copper, while adhering to strict organic standards. This decision reflects the estate’s commitment to sustainable, environmentally-friendly viticulture.
