Corine and Yves Jean Houser are eager to share the story of their estate and their exceptional AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages Cairanne wines. In 2007, the Houser family acquired Domaine des Amadieu, marking a fresh beginning for Yves Jean in a new profession and a new lifestyle for the entire family. With a deep passion for agriculture and training in agronomy, they manage every aspect of winemaking, from cultivating the vines to producing the wines.

Domaine des Amadieu spans 7 hectares in the charming village of Cairanne, located between the Rhône River and Mont Ventoux in the Vaucluse. The estate benefits from a variety of terroirs, where traditional Côtes du Rhône grape varieties—Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan—thrive. From the start, the family adopted Certified Organic Production, and with 4 hectares of vines over 50 years old, they practice the traditional 'goblet' pruning method, characteristic of the region.

In 2012, Domaine des Amadieu embraced biodynamic practices, enhancing the minerality and natural balance of their wines. Harvesting is done by hand to ensure the perfect ripeness of the grapes and to sort them meticulously when necessary. The Provençal-style winery, built in 1992, is designed for traditional winemaking techniques, allowing for vinification by variety and plot. The result is 35,000 bottles of elegant, high-quality wines that are consistently praised for being “at the best level of the appellation, sold at very fair prices,” as noted in the Guide de la RVF (2013).
