Domaine de Pécoulas: A Unique Terroir for Exceptional Vins de Pays des Coteaux de l’Ardèche

Planted on slopes, with good exposure to the southern sun, the Domaine de Pécoulas extends over a privileged terroir of mostly clay-limestone soil and, unusually, several plots of sandstone. This geological variety has allowed them to adapt the varieties, to suit the nature of the soils and their exposure to the sun. Domaine de Pécoulas is thus able to create a wide range of Vins de Pays des Coteaux de l’Ardèche. Jacques Eldin and his son Laurent are today guardians of this continuity, they take care of the running of the vineyard, the vinification and the ageing of the wines.
