Domaine de la Perdrix: A Tradition of Winemaking in the Aspres Region

Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees and overlooking the coastal plain of Roussillon, Domaine de la Perdrix spans 45 hectares in the commune of Trouillas, located in the heart of the Aspres region, just 15 km south of Perpignan. Established in the 1820s, the estate is now managed by André and Virginie Gil, who have been at the helm since 1997. Under their leadership, the winery has been revitalized, producing exceptional wines starting from the 2000 vintage.

A Unique Terroir for Exceptional Wines

The estate's terroir is a mosaic of hard, dry soils, which present both challenges and opportunities for winemaking. To preserve the distinct characteristics of each vineyard plot, Domaine de la Perdrix vinifies its plots separately. Careful blending follows to achieve a perfect balance of fruit, richness, and tannins, reflecting the ageing potential and expressive nature of the Mediterranean terroir. These meticulous processes result in wines that capture the essence of the land and the family's commitment to crafting wines of elegance and complexity.
