Domaine de la Mordorée: An Exceptional Vineyard in the Rhône Valley

Located in Tavel, in the southern Rhône Valley, the Domaine de la Mordorée is a renowned wine estate founded in 1986 by Francis and Christophe Delorme. Thanks to their passion and expertise, the estate has become a leading name in the Rhône’s prestigious wine scene. Since 2015, Madeleine and Ambre Delorme have continued this legacy by producing wines from AOC Tavel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, Côtes-du-Rhône, and Condrieu. Their ambition: to create high-quality wines while respecting nature and the terroir.

A Certified Organic and Biodynamic Vineyard, Environmentally Responsible

The Domaine de la Mordorée spans 42 hectares, distributed across 8 communes, with varied and rich terroirs. Committed to sustainable viticulture, the estate has been certified organic since 2013 and biodynamic (Demeter) since 2020. This approach preserves biodiversity and produces natural, elegant, and authentic wines. Thanks to manual harvesting, low yields, and the complete absence of chemicals, each wine fully expresses the richness of its appellation.

Great Wines from the Rhône Valley, Elegant and Award-Winning

The estate offers a range of prestigious wines, recognized by top critics, including Robert Parker. Among the iconic cuvées, La Reine des Bois (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, Tavel) stands out with its aromatic intensity and complexity. La Dame Rousse (Lirac, Tavel) provides a round and velvety mouthfeel, while La Dame Voyageuse (Châteauneuf-du-Pape) reveals subtle notes of red fruits and spices. Finally, La Plume du Peintre, produced only in exceptional vintages, embodies the full excellence of the Rhône terroir. The Domaine de la Mordorée is firmly established as a key player in biodynamic and organic wines from the Rhône Valley.
