Domaine Chauvenet – A Great Diversity of Terroirs

Domaine Chauvenet, located in Pommard since 1909, is a family estate that has developed and evolved over generations. Since 2017, Jackie, the daughter of Marlyse and Jacques, has taken the reins of the estate. With her studies in oenology and viticulture, Jackie brings innovations and new techniques to modernize and diversify production while staying true to the family traditions.

The estate benefits from a great diversity of terroirs, with very steep, ideally located plots that extend across prestigious appellations such as Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, Beaune, Pommard, and Saint-Romain. These varied terroirs allow for the production of wines that fully express the richness and complexity of the region.

The estate’s wines are carefully aged in stainless steel tanks and 2 or 3-use barrels for 18 to 24 months, depending on the appellation. This aging method allows the wines to develop beautiful complexity and perfect balance, while remaining true to the unique characteristics of each terroir.
