The Domaine de la Bargemone spans 150 hectares, including 66 hectares of vineyards, with 56 hectares dedicated to red varietals and 10 hectares to whites. A careful selection of grape varieties, including Cinsault, Syrah, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon, endows these wines with distinctive qualities and exceptional consistency.
Founded by the Templars in the 13th century, the property has passed through the hands of the Count of Baux, the Arbaud de Bargemon family, and the Thomassin Bargemon family, giving rise to the name "Bargemone." Jean-Pierre Rozan acquired the Domaine de la Commanderie de la Bargemone in 1968 and replanted the vineyards. In 2006, a new partnership between the Rozan and Garin families revitalized the estate and introduced new cuvées to the market.
Our commitment to environmental respect and sustainable viticulture naturally led us toward organic farming. Organic farming excludes the use of chemical fertilizers, synthetic pesticides, GMOs, and limits the use of external inputs. The entire Domaine de la Bargemone is in the process of transitioning to organic certification. We have chosen Qualisud, an accredited certification body by COFRAC, for our monitoring, inspection, and auditing process.
