A Family Story of Expertise and Terroir
Our small family estate has been in operation for decades. Today, two generations work together: Michelle and Thierry EYNARD, along with their children Pierrick and Yohan EYNARD. The EYNARD family has always cultivated vines and produced wine, which was traditionally sold to wine merchants. In 2018, the youngest son, Yohan, and his partner took the initiative to bottle their own wines, marking the beginning of a new adventure!
We are located in the commune of Faurilles, at the heart of the bastides, between Issigeac and Villeréal in Dordogne. Our vineyard spans 16 hectares, divided into two plots, with historical grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. In 2019, we planted new vines, including red varieties like Côt, and our first white grapes, Gros Manseng and Chardonnay. In 2022, we expanded further with new plantings of Syrah and Prunelard. Our vines thrive mainly on argilo-calcareous soils, with some areas featuring the very stony "TRAN" soil.
A Commitment to Responsible Farming
We work one row of vines out of two to promote better rainwater infiltration and deeper root development, allowing the terroir to truly shine in our wines. We use a cultivator under the vines and create a plant cover to enhance biodiversity in our vineyards and provide a natural source of organic matter.
