Sauternes Appellation: A Legacy of Exceptional Wines
The Sauternes appellation, located in the Bordeaux region, spans almost 2,000 hectares of vines planted on gravel soil, with a clay-limestone subsoil. Known for its remarkable conditions for producing sweet wines, the region's maximum authorised yield is 25 hectolitres per hectare. The estate in question spans 18 hectares within this prestigious appellation, with 16 hectares currently in production.
Nestled in the heart of the most reputable Sauternes crus, the vineyard enjoys optimal sun exposure, making it an ideal location for the creation of exceptional Sauternes wines. Located in the communes of Sauternes, Bommes, and Preignac, the plots are grouped around the Château, offering perfect conditions for producing world-class wines.
This estate's efforts have not gone unnoticed, as it was recognized by RVF (Revue du Vin de France), receiving an impressive 17.5-18.5/20 rating this year.
