Famille Lesgourgues: Tradition, Innovation, and Beauty in Viticulture
The Lesgourgues family was founded in 1974. The third generation now manages the estates, following in the footsteps of Maurice and Jean-Jacques Lesgourgues. The family owns five properties: four in Bas Armagnac, Graves, and Madiran, and a fifth in Côtes de Blaye, where they oversee both the viticulture and commercial strategy. The core values of the family’s operations are tradition, innovation, and beauty.
Quality Wines at Château Peyros
Located in the Vic Bilh region, Château Peyros spans 20 hectares, with 70% Tannat and 30% Cabernet Franc. It is the only vineyard in Madiran exposed to the full south, providing optimal nourishment for the vines and resulting in higher quality wines. Since the arrival of the Lesgourgues family, the estate has reduced the use of treatment products by over 40%, firmly committing to sustainable viticulture.
