A family estate

Take, over in 2018 by Guillaume and Marine de Rosnay with their 6 kids, the family domain De Rocheefort is extremely well located, a few kilometers south of Nantes, on the commune oh La Hayes-Fouassière. As a family since that date, we get involved to provide a new youth to this century old domain and produce high quality white wine.

Their Main grappe : Muscadet from Bourgogne

The vineyard of De Rochefort Castle, exclusively from the cepage Melon of Bourgogne, are beautifully located on a soil dominated by the granitic foothills of the Armorican Massif: sandy soil, very slightly silty, with organic matter. After 40 cm of soil, the orthogneiss rock appears, which explains in part the great quality of our terroir: the whole estate is thus eligible for the appellation "Cru Communal - La Haye Fouassière". The Muscadets de Rochefort are very typical white wines produced in a sustainable way!

he creator of the Rochefort vineyard had a very strict vision of the quality of the production of his wines. Today, we do everything to limit the treatments in the vineyards to the strict minimum, which has restricted the production of white wine to around 40 Hl per hectare of vines.
