Château de Barbe Blanche: An exceptional vineyard in the heart of Saint-Émilion

Château de Barbe Blanche enjoys a privileged location on the slopes of the Saint-Émilion appellation. It has become a benchmark in the Lussac Saint-Émilion appellation. Here, Merlot reigns supreme, producing deep, racy red wines that gain in finesse and complexity after a few years in bottle.

A Viticultural Heritage and Ancestral Know-How

Château de Barbe Blanche is a magnificent 28-hectare estate in the heart of the Lussac-Saint-Émilion appellation, near the Gallo-Roman villa of Lucciacus, from which the appellation takes its name. The estate has a rich history, and it is said that King Henri IV appreciated its quality. It successively belonged to the Favereau family, lawyers at the Bordeaux Parliament in the 18th century, then to the Jay-Bodet family in the early 1800s, continuing its development on the best terroirs.

The Excellence of Vignobles André Lurton

In 2000, Vignobles André Lurton acquired the estate, combining their ancestral know-how with cutting-edge modern technology. Since then, they have worked meticulously and rigorously to produce exceptional AOC Lussac-Saint-Émilion cuvées, guaranteeing irreproachable quality and constant respect for winemaking traditions.
