Château Dauzac, a Margaux Grand Cru Classé since 1855, stands as a symbol of winemaking excellence. Nestled near the Gironde estuary, the vineyard benefits from a unique terroir shaped by a favorable microclimate, influenced by the gentle winds of the Atlantic Ocean. Tradition Meets Innovation at Château Dauzac

The estate practices manual harvesting to preserve the integrity of the fruit, ensuring the highest quality of grapes. Each plot is vinified separately in temperature-controlled vats, allowing for the delicate extraction of tannins. Since 2014, the estate has embraced wooden vats with double transparent staves for a more refined approach to vinification, accompanied by a carefully rethought pumping-over method. The aging process takes place in extra-fine French oak barrels for 12 to 18 months, with rigorous wood selection for barrels.

In a groundbreaking move, Château Dauzac became the first 1855 Grand Cru Classé to produce 100% Vegan wines since 2016, utilizing plant proteins for fining. This innovation underscores the estate’s commitment to sustainable practices and pushing the boundaries of tradition in winemaking.
