Château Clamens: An Exceptional Terroir in Fronton

Our 25-hectare vineyard is located in an exceptional terroir at the gates of Toulouse, within the exclusive Fronton appellation. The soils of boulbènes, found on the ancient terraces of the Tarn River, combined with a very favorable climate, create the perfect conditions for vine cultivation. Since 2012, Stefan Heppelmann, a passionate wine lover and rugby enthusiast, has been the proud owner of Château Clamens, dedicating himself to producing elegant wines from the unique Négrette grape, which is found nowhere else in the world.

Commitment to Sustainability for Quality Wines

We have been committed to sustainable practices for many years, and our vineyard is certified with a high environmental value label. To ensure the best possible health for the vines, they are planted in alignment with the prevailing Autan wind, known for its purifying effect on the vineyard. We prioritize quality in our production, keeping yields below 45 hl/ha, and minimize the use of sulfites (less than 50 mg/L for reds) to preserve the wines’ authenticity and distinctive character.
