Château Champion: A Family Legacy in Saint-Emilion
Located in the heart of the Saint-Emilion wine region, Château Champion spans 6.80 hectares of clay-limestone soil. The Bourrigaud family has owned the estate since the 18th century. In 1994, Pascal Bourrigaud succeeded his father Jean, marking the 8th generation of the family’s involvement in the vineyard. Together with his wife Véronique, they now oversee the management of several estates, including Château Haute Terrasse in the Castillon – Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, acquired in 1999. The vineyard at Château Champion is planted with 75% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Château Haute Terrasse
Château Haute Terrasse is located in the town of Saint Magne de Castillon, near the site of the 1453 Battle of Castillon, the final battle between the French and the English during the Hundred Years' War. The estate covers 4 hectares of prime clay-limestone slopes, with a grape composition of 58% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
