The estate's name originates from the Gascon word "calhau," meaning stone or rock. The vines thrive in a variety of exceptional terroirs, combining gravelly knolls and clay-limestone hillsides.

Commitment to Agroecology and Welcoming Atmosphere

In August 2020, the estate was taken over by Guilain Latournerie, a young agronomist, who has initiated a strong transition toward agroecology. The vineyard is in the process of obtaining organic certification and is being cultivated within a sustainable and virtuous pastoral ecosystem.
