HISTORY AND TERROIR
The Launay estate is a Champagne vineyard located in the Sézannais region. The Launay family, who have owned the estate since 1973, is made up of three brothers who complement each other in managing the business. They produce quality champagnes while respecting Champagne tradition and the environment. The vineyard covers 14 hectares, with two-thirds located in the Marne region and one-third in the Côte des Bar. The Louis de Chatet brand was created to offer a range of exceptional champagnes.
"QUALITY OVER QUANTITY"
Manual harvesting, respect for traditional Champagne winemaking, and aging in the cellar are strong values upheld by the estate. They use selected phytosanitary products to respect the natural environment and wildlife, and do not use any chemical fertilizers. They have obtained the Sustainable Viticulture and High Environmental Value level 3 certifications to guarantee the reduction of the impact of viticultural practices on the environment. The complementarity and harmony that reigns among the Launay family members generates a cohesion that benefits the business.
