Labels and Certifications: A Vineyard Committed to Environmental Protection
Champagne Claude Rigollot is nestled in the Côte des Bar, within the commune of Bergerès. With over five generations of winemaking history, this family estate has always prioritized environmental respect, maintaining a strong commitment to eco-responsibility. Under the leadership of Emmanuel, the estate continues to craft its champagnes without insecticides, using organic fertilizers to preserve the land.
Since 2019, Champagne Claude Rigollot & Fils has earned several certifications reflecting its dedication to sustainable practices: HVE & VDC certified, Eco Responsible Farming, Integrated Organic Viticulture, and the use of 100% organic fertilizers since 2009. The estate has also eliminated insecticides, with zero herbicides used across more than 50% of the vineyard. Notably, two-thirds of the estate's products have been organic since receiving certification.
Emmanuel focuses on extended aging to enhance the complexity of his champagnes. Each cuvée is aged for a minimum of three years, allowing the true aromatic potential to emerge. This winegrower's champagne is perfect for those seeking a genuine taste of terroir and authenticity.
