1) "Les Copains d’abord"

GAEC Domaine de l’Auribelle – AOC Languedoc

You’ve likely recognized the tribute to Georges Brassens and his famous ode to friendship, “Les Copains d’abord” (1964). This well-chosen song perfectly represents a fruity and indulgent red wine ideal for enjoying with friends during an aperitif.

For a bit of trivia, this song was written for Yves Robert’s 1965 film Les Copains.

2) "La Vie en Rose"

Next up is another classic of French music: “La Vie en Rose” (1945) by Édith Piaf. This elegant and fruity rosé champagne is a fitting tribute to the song, and it pairs wonderfully with a seafood platter.

“La Vie en Rose” remains one of Piaf’s most famous pieces. The film La Môme (2007), which chronicles Piaf’s life, was released in many countries under the title La Vie en Rose, including Canada.
